It's been twenty years now
since Dad passed away.
I miss him still.

I wrote the book
Alzheimer's,
Archaeology,
and the
Armed Forces

because I think my Dad was a very remarkable man.  He really was as honest and sincere as he appears to be
in the pages of my book.  Of course, I could not have written such a tale without my mother's input.  It is, after all, her story too.
In fact, many people contributed and, for that, I am most thankful.

As you will see, I have pulled Dad's collection of Navy pictures
together for this website, along with some other memorabilia.
I am very grateful that he did, indeed, write on the back of quite
a few of the photographs, and some of my organization of the
pictures comes from deductive reasoning.
Whether I guessed right or wrong remains to be seen!

I have numbered all of the photographs in the hopes that
if you know someone or recognize that place, please send me a
note via the contact page.  I would love to hear from you
if you can identify anyone or any of the places,
or if you just want to tell me how you feel after looking through this website,
I would love to hear from you.

Of course, the pictures and memorabilia go hand-in-hand with the book,
they are very much connected.  It's a "Good Story," and it's been my pleasure,
and a dream come true, to honor my parents with just such a work.

May you enjoy the story of my family,
may it touch your heart,
and may it be an encouragement to you,
no matter what your circumstances might be.

Sincerely,
Susan Steele
