Water Baptism

After you have prayed
and received Christ as your Savior,
you need to be baptized in water.

That word baptized means to be immersed;
you know, dunked all the way under.

That's how Jesus did it
and that's how everybody in the Bible got baptized.

We are supposed to do as Jesus did, and He was
baptized by John in the Jordan River.

Another way to look at it:

Baptism is the outward sign of an inward change in the heart.

It’s kind of like falling in love.
No one but you and the other person really knows that you are in love.
Then when you get married, and invite everybody to the ceremony –
that is the outward sign of the inward change of the heart.

I love Jesus—the inward change that happens in the heart.
Then I got baptized—the outward expression of the inward change.

Hallelujah—I am a new creation in Christ!
